Running Stitch

This is a simple stitch in Embroidery.
Take 2 strands of Anchor cotton skeins to get good results.

RUNNING STITCH:
Step-I

Draw a line.
Take the thread from bottom to the top in one end of the line.
Along the line, leave a small gap and insert the thread and pull it on the other side as shown.






Step-II
Continue as like step-I and it will lead to the Running stitch.
This stitch will best suits for outline, stem like scrolls
.






DOUBLE RUNNING STITCH:
Put another running stitch parallel to the first one to get this stitch.







THREADED RUNNING STITCH:
Step-I

First put a running stitch.From one end of the running stitch, insert the needle from bottom to top and don't pierce into the fabric or split the thread as shown.Use another different color of thread while threading.






Step-II
Now insert the thread from top to bottom beneath the thread and not pierce the fabric.






Step-III
Now the final stitch will be as shown. This stitch will also best suits for outlines.






WHIPPED RUNNING STITCH:
Step-I

First do a running stitch. From one end of the running stitch, insert the needle from bottom to top and insert the needle beneath the thread from bottom to top and don't pierce the fabric. Continue the same till the end as like this inserting from bottom to top.





Step-II
Here it is after finished. This stitch also best suits for outlines.
